Lukey's Boats is primarily a showcase of refit work performed by Gordon Cameron and his employees on his or on his clients' boats. Recent projects include electrical and hydraulic service on a 40' Schucker Motor Sailor, interior refit of two 35' Chris Craft Catalinas, interior brightwork on a vintage Pearson Triton and complete refit of his personal boat... a rare 1969 Chris Craft 47' Commander YachtFish!
Lukey's Boats is particularly experienced in making boats and boating more enjoyable and liveable in the cooler months. Growing up in Canada has exposed Gordon to many boaters who think nothing of going out in cool and cold weather and he has applied some of these features into clients' Chesapeake-area boats.

1974 Chris Craft Catalina
The two latest additions to the fleet. A 1974 Chris Craft Catalina (left) and a 1965 Chris Craft Sea Skiff. This is the relatively rare Ranger model, with the nicer interior. My interention is to restore this to original. there are a few things not "correct" on this boat: - the wrong hull color - the brightwork has been painted - wrong steering wheel. i need one with the horn ring. - i doubt the hardtop was a factory option but it will stay for now.
The Catalina is pretty much orginal and was fitted out well with engine synchs, trim tabs and a big split A/C unit. The 1977 Chris turned out well and I think that this should also be a looker when done up. i'm wrestling with a bound engine and I have it on EBay "as is". If it doesn't sell, I will have the engine relaired or replaced and comlete a re-fit.
1964 25' Chris Craft Sea Skiff
This is the 65' Stephens Motor Yacht a customer was interested in purchasing. She's beautiful at first site but years of minimal maintenance have left her with about $160k of remedial repairs. Wooden boats can be fabulous but to a avoid serious repairs, they can not be allowed to languish.
Gordon Cameron grew up in Toronto and started messing about in boats about 45 years ago at the family cottage. He completed his first of many Canadian Power and Sail Squadron courses at the age of 16 in order to get permisssion to buy his own boat... a 12' aluminum skiff with a 5 hp outboard. He learned to sail at summer camp and has been around boats in professional or hobby capacity ever since. He completed a 2 year course in Marina Trades at Humber college in Toronto in 1985. After that he operated a successful design, refit and surveying business for 10 years. He has spent recent years in finance, but has now decided to follow his bliss once more and is back living and working on the water. He has taught many courses in boat repair, surveying and navigation in the US and Canada is very interested in discussing your next project to make your boat more enjoyable.
Why Lukey's Boats? As a Canadian he has always loved the rugged East Coast and the sea-going culture of many generations. "Lukey's Boat" is the name of a popular and comical sea-shanty that is associated with Newfoundland and has been popularized recently by the Canadian band "Great Big Sea".
